Last Updated: November 01, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RodX (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Purpose of the Service
- RodX provides tools for 2D finite element analysis to support structural engineering work.
- The platform is designed to improve workflow efficiency, visualization, and preliminary analysis.
- RodX does not replace the independent professional judgment of a qualified engineer.
3. Engineering Responsibility
While RodX aims to deliver accurate and reliable computational results, the interpretation, verification, and application of those results are solely the responsibility of the user.
Users agree that:
- all engineering decisions must be reviewed and validated by a qualified professional,
- results produced by the Service must be checked for compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and safety requirements,
- RodX is intended as a tool that supports engineering work, not as an automated design approval system.
4. No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any expressed or implied warranties regarding:
- accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a specific engineering purpose,
- suitability of calculations for final design, permitting, or construction,
- absence of errors, bugs, or interruptions.
RodX uses the OpenSees computational engine; however, no warranty is given regarding the outcome or correctness of any analysis performed using this engine.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RodX and its creator shall not be liable for:
- direct or indirect damages,
- economic or structural losses,
- failures of constructed elements,
- loss of data,
- damages resulting from reliance on analysis results,
- consequences of engineering or design decisions made by the user.
By using the Service, you agree that all risks associated with the interpretation and use of analysis results rest entirely with you.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- misuse, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service,
- disrupt or attempt to bypass security measures,
- use the platform in unlawful ways.
7. Intellectual Property
All software, interface elements, design, and documentation of RodX are the intellectual property of the creator unless otherwise stated. Users receive a non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for legitimate engineering work.
8. Donations
Donations are voluntary and do not form any contractual obligation, subscription, service tier, or guarantee of support. A donation does not create a customer–vendor relationship or impose deliverable obligations on the Service.
9. Third-Party Services
RodX may rely on third-party technologies (including OpenSees). The Service is not responsible for any issues arising from external libraries, APIs, or frameworks.
9.1. OpenSees Acknowledgment
